The vision for this private residence was to create a living environment that felt deeply peaceful, calm, open, and connected to nature. Wood played a leading role in setting the tone, used generously across ceilings and details to bring in a natural rhythm. Travertine flooring added softness and flow, creating a base for a home that feels like a tropical escape, without ever leaving the city.
We needed to open the space to nature without losing its sense of privacy or comfort. The goal was to blur boundaries – between inside and out, between function and feeling – while still creating a home that worked for everyday living. Every material, connection, and transition had to serve that sense of quiet escape.
At the heart of the home, a sunken courtyard becomes a living sanctuary – open to the sky, surrounded by rich greenery, and framed by warm wooden ceilings. It’s more than a design feature – it’s the soul of the space, flooding the home with soft light and gentle movement. Across the interiors, materials do the talking: wood, travertine, stone, and planting work together to shape a space that feels grounded and effortless.
