The direction for this project was clear: create interiors with depth, identity, and feeling. We set out to honour cultural tradition in the Majlis – not by repeating it, but by reimagining it as a modern, welcoming space with its own sense of character. The dining area was designed with a rustic feel in mind, balanced by refined details. Think raw materials, clean lines, and handcrafted details that bring everything together.
This project was all about balance. The Majlis needed to feel fresh and modern, but still connected to its cultural roots. The dining space had to feel raw and textured, but still elegant. Every choice had to sit between simple and bold so the spaces felt honest, not overdesigned.
The Majlis feels layered and lived in, with custom furniture and lush planting bringing warmth and calm. Pops of orange and green add energy without overpowering the space. In the dining area, raw textures like travertine and warm wood are paired with soft brass and clean lines. A custom chandelier acts as a sculptural centrepiece, bridging rustic warmth with contemporary elegance. Both spaces feel rich, tactile, and grounded, showing how unexpected ideas can create something truly memorable and soulful.
