The client required a versatile property capable of accommodating grand social events in bright expansive lounges while providing deeply personal sanctuaries. The design needed to include highly specialised areas such as a dark private cinema a textured underground spa and a serene prayer room illuminated by natural light shafts.
Moving between massive open entertainment spaces and highly intimate spiritual or acoustic zones creates abrupt sensory shifts. The primary objective was engineering a cohesive transition between these distinct functions. Concealing complex technology and heavy acoustic treatments in the media room without compromising the visual elegance established in the main living areas also required rigorous coordination.
The architecture resolves these transitions by employing curved sofas and translucent screens to soften visual boundaries in the main reception zones. As occupants move into the specialised areas the design shifts deliberately. Deeply textured wall fabrics in the cinema and directed overhead sunlight in the prayer room create immediate atmospheric isolation transforming the vast property into a unified sophisticated environment.
