The client wanted a large residence that handles formal events, private family life and a dedicated professional home office effortlessly. The design needed to feel important and structured, using heavy natural stone and metal, but it could not feel cold or uninviting. Every room, from the social zones to the private workspace, had to serve a clear physical purpose through its materials and layout alone.
Using large amounts of green and red marble can easily make a house feel dark and overwhelming. The main architectural task was to balance this extreme material weight. We needed to introduce specific lighting and softer textures so the home remains completely comfortable and easy to navigate on a daily basis.
Walk through the residence and feel how the architecture directs your focus. In the lobby, bright light channels cut through heavy green marble to dictate a strict formal path. Step into the home office where curved furniture softens rigid stone walls to build a quiet zone for deep work.
Move to the dining room and notice the immediate spatial shift. A suspended glass installation lowers the visual ceiling to create an intimate anchor for meals. Next, the main lounge utilises soft fabrics and a warm red stone fireplace to instantly expand the social space. The result is a highly structured home built to support daily life.
