The Fresco Villa is a celebration of art as more than just decoration. Inspired by the transformative power of trompe l’oeil and expressive visual storytelling, this Riyadh residence is designed to shape how its inhabitants feel and move through the space.
The open-plan layout connects the main living area, a subtle office lobby, the kitchen, and a guest bathroom. Here, murals and carefully chosen colours bring warmth, emotion, and identity to the home, creating an atmosphere where design is experienced on every level. Furniture and art work in conversation, forming a space where living and expression are intertwined.
The vision was to create a home where art becomes part of the architecture, not an afterthought. Every surface, line, and palette needed to work in harmony to craft a mood that felt immersive without overwhelming the space.
The challenge lay in striking the balance between artistic expression and everyday function. The murals had to enhance the flow of the home rather than compete with it, ensuring that each room felt intentional and lived in — not staged.
