The client required a design that could deliver the privacy, spaciousness, and elevated sense of exclusivity typically associated with a private villa within a managed, multi-unit environment in Riyadh's upscale Al Murouj district.
This mandate necessitated an architectural configuration that rejected the standard high-density apartment model and prioritized low density. Each building contains two attached residential buildings, each three stories high with one private apartment per floor.
The critical architectural challenge in designing the floor plans to contain two attached residential blocks, with only one private apartment per three-story floor building. This highly exclusive configuration presented a dual mandate: first, to ensure the floor plans were efficiently organized and structurally luxurious; and second, to establish an architectural presence befitting the upscale context of Al Murouj. This was achieved by employing Neo-Classical Refinement—a style that consciously blends classic design principles with modern sensibility. The facades achieve an elegant, luxurious essence through intentional contrast. The clean, minimal lines and sleek glass introduce a sharp modernity, while strong architectural symmetry, rhythmic window proportions, and refined stone cladding anchor the structure in timeless elegance, elevating the perceived value of the apartment living experience.
The final architecture successfully marries contemporary luxury with timeless symmetry. The elegant, proportional facades utilize refined materials to create buildings that feel substantial and enduring. The deliberate low-density configuration successfully delivers on the privacy mandate, resulting in a complex of 18 total apartments housed in 9 buildings, with a configuration of just one apartment per floor across three stories. This result contributes a sophisticated model for low-density residential design in the capital, offering residents an unparalleled experience of exclusivity and a truly private floor plate within an elegantly managed complex.
